Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Earlier reports stated the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
By December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
